Update so far...

I haven't been on in a while and its definitely due to work being crazy and life just becoming more hectic. I am anxiously awaiting grad school to start in less than a week. My job keeps my mind going crazy!
Anyway I am not on here to complain so let's move along to what's  positive....

I am pushing closer to age 30 and I feel pretty good about it. I am continuing to stay focused on what's important and where I know I want to be. My family is doing well and everyone is healthy, and that alone is a blessing!

My natural state of being at this time is going rather well. I am going to try and henna more often and wash less. Henna has helped my hair continue to look healthy and shine more.

I have started doing Capoeira again but my schedule only allows me to attend once a week. SAD but work comes first......right? lol

Anyway I am pushing to be in a happy state forever and I don't wish to let what I can't change affect me in a negative way.

MY time AWAY....SO this is what I have to say....

I have been working and working like crazy, enrolled for my masters and start next month (trying to mentally prepare), found a Capoeira School in Louisville FINALLY YAYAYAYAYAY and running when I can! Very excited about those two things, while also making people smile on the JOB! I hope and pray you all are well in whatever is going on in your lives currently.

Continue to be healthy, take care and by all means DO YO THANG!

THIS WEEK!

I must say I am very proud of myself for what I was able to accomplish during this past week!

I did not break under pressure, worked out and ran on a hill despite the fact I dislike running, and washed my dirty car. Completed my application, updated my resume, wrote my two page entrance paper and all in hopes of beginning my masters degree in July.

Today by itself was a busy yet rewarding day. I take these times, and use them to help me help others, knowing that if I can do it alone, others will see that they too are able, only thing standing in the way is yourself.

MAKE IT HAPPEN and DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE TELL YOU OTHERWISE!

Experimenting With Hair

So as you can see I am a natural hair sista, for the second time now after going back to the creamy "crack". No longer will I relax my hair. Anywho I have been growing my hair out since Mid November 2010. I love my hair but definitely anxiously awaiting more growth. The point of the video is to show some of the natural hair styles out there for different lengths of hair. Never think you are limited...DO MORE and experiment, natural hair is healthy and fun! :-) Be inspired SISTAS

Crazy Week but Peace is near....

This week I did not get to post but here I am trying to make up for that...

Training for work all week was long but learned a lot...

Started some projects on my room, Thanks to my cuz and her creativity toped with inspiraton (BRANDI shout out!!)

Trying to get back into this photography and poetry thing....Kind of fell off for a minute ;-(
