Something I did for 6 months, loved it, learned from it, embrassed it, met great people and found myself. Capoeira is a beautiful, flexible, complicated Afro-brazilian art! Originally from Angola Africa, but many still argue that it began its roots in Brazil. Whatever the case may be....I enjoyed it, cried, experienced pain and did things I never thought I would/could do. Capoeira moves are quick, the music/lyircs are beautiful and slow, or mean and fast, to prepare you to fight or prepare you to dance. Your opponent will try to trick you....always keep your eyes open and be ready! I had to learn the hard way lol! Built confidence and had a great Capoeira Family...people who will always be in my heart, even though I moved away. FYI-I am the black girl with the short fro! VAI---!
